After graduating high school in 1975, purchasing
a car was the first step into the 'real world'. So my Dad and I started
looking at sports cars. The first car I looked at was a Datsun 2000 convertible,
which was fast and fun to drive, but it was missing something. I thought
the Triumph Spitfire was a nice car, but decided against that after realizing
the hood and fenders were one unit, which would be expensive in even a minor
accident. During this time I also began looking at other cars on the road.
One day, I noticed a sharp looking convertible. It was a MGB and I knew
then that I just had to have one. It has been an interest that has been
an integral part of my life ever since.
Site Notes:
This Site features some of
the many pictures I have taken over the years, starting with my first MGB, a
1966 roadster. The site banner has a picture of that car as it appeared around
1980. Use the menu bar at the top of the pages to navigate around the Site.
Starting at the left menu,
General, features the construction of my new garage, links, and book
review. Current Projects has
the latest images of my cars that are current projects. Active of the projects
is the continuing restoration of an automatic 1968 MGC/GT, after my Dad completed
the engine, brakes, and bodywork. The Gallery features pictures
and the stories of my MG experience since 1975.
Cars that I currently own include an unrestored 1957 MGA Coupe, 1968
MGC/GT, 1978 MGB roadster, and the 1966
MGB roadster . My
Dad and the cars he restored as I was growing up are also in the Gallery. The
Wrecks Gallery has some of the many parts cars that I bought over the
years and other wrecks. I hope the information
in the new menu titled Articles will provide help for your projects and
other MG topics. The highlight of my MG interest was a trip to England,
where I toured the Abingdon factory just four weeks before it closed in 1980.
Some of the pictures from this trip are in the Abingdon Factory Tour.
